Reasons why You should read to Your kids

Everyone knows that reading books develops a child's imagination, stimulates the brain, a positive effect on creativity and  releases hiding creative potential in a little child. While reading every one is inserted into the book, creates images of what you have read, your own world, starts the process of thinking. He/she wonders how something looks, moves to land of imagination. Reading to the child awakens in him curiosity, helps to understand each other, conduct of other people. It stimulates the development of speech, throughout toddlerhood and preschool, your child is learning critical language skills. By listening to you read your child is reinforcing the basic sounds that form language. When you spend time reading to toddlers, they will be much more likely to express themselves and relate to others. During story time, your child is gaining valuable communication skills.
In our family we read often cause we like it. It is very important to read and tell your child a variety of books: fairy tales, rhymes, stories. In this way, tamed to a book, maybe just be encouraged to nice, colorful illustrations and will start to read.

Halloween is coming

Who doesn't like Halloween? Spooky ghosts, pumpkins, black cats and of course this is what every child likes a most "trick or treating". Are you the mom who's doing a Halloween party? I did last year. Was so scary BOO!!!
I found some ideas and pictures on #Pinterest.com great for kids "spooky" party, maybe you can use them too.

Pumpkin Toss Game a lot of fun both for older and younger participants. You just need orange and black poster boards, cardboard box, black marker and small balls

Another great idea for keeping kids busy and have more time for talk to
other parents is prepare some crafts. This plate Witch looks so cute and easy to do so every child can do it.

Now after those cool activities is time for snacks.
I think kids gonna have enough sweets and candies so the healthy substitute is a good idea.

This vegetable skeleton looks delicious and is healthy

What do you thing about more good stuff on kids plates? Check this out

The Government should pay stay at home moms

Being a stay-at-home mom it's more than full time job. It's more than 40 hours of work. I'm an alarm clock, cook, cleaning lady, waitress, doctor, nanny, nurse, guardian, photographer, chauffeur, teacher, personal assistant, accountant, ATM machine and more. I never have holidays, days off, or payable sick days. I'm on duty to the rest of my life. It's totally unfair that women who are raising their kids, working 24h per day 7 days a week, doesn't matter if they sick or tired they always should be for their children can't even have social security benefits. The tax break it's not enough. Mother is the most difficult profession in the world and should be have much more benefits than hugs and kisses.

My opinion about Bed Head Tigi Superstar Queen...

I love Bed Head products at all, but I can describe it as huge misunderstanding!!! Yes I'm talking about Bed Head Tigi Superstar Queen for a day thickening spray, it's expensive and not effective, really don't think it does much more than make my hair a bit greasy! It's sticky I don't find that this product volumizes more or better than other cheaper products. It is makes hair super knotty and is terrible for hair split ends or dry hair, they looks like wearing cotton candy on your head. Waste of money, don't do a same mistake like I did, and don't spend money for something what doesn't  work like supposed to.

"Mr. Mercedes" by Stephen King

I just finished "MR. Mercedes" and this is not a typical Stephen King book, is not a horror novel like most of his books, is more a detective thriller.
Brady Hartsfield killed 8 people and injuring many others by driving into a queue outside a job fair, was never caught. A few months later, in another part of town, a retired cop named Bill Hodges still haunted by unsolved crime receives an anonymous letter from someone who describes himself as the Mercedes killer, promising to kill again. Only Bill Hodges, with a couple of friends can apprehend the killer before he strikes again. And they have no time to lose, because Brady’s next mission, if it succeeds, will kill thousands of people. If Hodges and his crew be able to solve the puzzle and catch crazy killer? Or maybe Mr. Mercedes gonna kill them? Grab the book and find out by yourself.
I can't wait for the next book of this trilogy.

Fall in my garden

I'm waiting for Winter and better weather, which is the best season in Arizona, but Fall is beautiful too, very similar to the Spring. Our landscaping and flora is very poor but on the other hand we have something different than in other zones. We have cactuses and palms and citrus trees. One of my passion is gardening and I'm trying to do my best in our desert. I have a few pictures to share from my garden not only from this season. And one with Saguaro cacti which I took today (not from my garden but still from here).

Tike Stix by Little Tikes

Tike Stix by Little Tikes Doghouse & Pet Building Set is a super perfect toy for kids with imagination. Construction play helps children develop motor skills, inspiring creativity and instilling basic mechanical skills. With large pieces that are easier for little children to connect to other large pieces. My kids both boy and girl, love to play with them, they can rebuild over and over, so this is next toy which can keep your children busy, that's gives you more time for your things, in my case computer and coffee :)

13th anniversary of 9/11 attacks

Today is 13th anniversary of September 11th attacks. It was one of the most tragic days in the history of the United States. 13 years ago in a few hours USA was plunged into chaos. No one couldn't believe what happened. Nineteen terrorists hijacked four passenger aircraft. Two of them crashed into twin towers of the World Trade Center (WTC) - one of the most important symbols of New York and the economic power of the United States. In the attack on the WTC killed a total of 2753 people.  Another one of the hijacked planes crashed into the Pentagon - killed another 184 people. Terrorists also tried to kidnap the fourth plane, but  passengers and crew stopped them and  plane crashed close to Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Killed everyone staying on board, including 40 passengers.
Now and forever everyone will remember what happened there and every time on September 11th our thoughts will be with the victims families.
That is what my son done in memory of people who lost their lives
in this terrifying day :

A must have toy to keep kids busy

My kids received Zoomer Dino from Spin Master and it was great surprise for them. Great toy and does lots of tricks. Kids love it. It is such a well designed and well thought.  His movements are quick and entertaining to watch. He roams around, sniffing, making dino roars. His eyes change color which will let you know which mood he's in. He just acts as he's real pet!!!! Plus it is charged via USB port so there are no batteries to keep track of. A must have toy to keep kids busy and I recommend it.

House for sale

I'm so excited, we moved to the next step and decide to sell our house and move to other state. Arizona is not a dream place to raise children.
Hot summers make impossible outdoor fun, kids have to spend time at home or malls, optionally in pools, they can't play like children in other states. Pity that we have not made that decision earlier. But it was tough decision it is not easy to move few thousands miles just because of weather right? We will see what life will bring, our real state agent just took some pictures of our house and will see. Hope to sale this really quick. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tune.

How to handle a picky eater?

Did your kids are picky eaters? Mine are. So How to smuggle fruits and vegetables? Sometimes it is very frustrating. The best thing you can do is to provide plenty of healthy choices in a positive environment so that mealtimes will be enjoyable for everyone. Many parents worry about what their children eat and don't eat. However, most kids get plenty of variety and nutrition in their diets over the course of a week. My way is "MAKE IT FUN" Serve veggies with a favorite dip or sauce. Cut foods into various shapes with cookie cutters. Serve a variety of brightly colored foods:

Book You must have in your library

"The book thief" by Markus Zusak a book about which you will never forget ... It describes a young girl's Liesel Meminger relationship with her foster parents, the other residents of their neighborhood and a young Jewish man who hides in her home during the escalation of World War II. A beautiful novel that moves the mind and touches the heart. A story about true friendship and love in the time of Nazi Germany is written in an interesting way and you can read it in "one breath", sometimes terrifying and heartbreaking. This book can't be described, you just have to read it !!!!!

Coffee as a lifesaver

Who doesn't like hot, scented, aromatic coffee? I love to put some almond milk as a substitute of regular milk or half and half. In the morning it is my lifesaver. I think I'm addicted to my latest discovery Rainforest Hazelnut Vanilla coffe by Zavida. When I'm doing my espresso her scent spread all over the house. What is Your favorite coffee?

Back to school cool

We have this time already and our kids have returned to school yey
more time for us moms. We can finally have some rest during a day. But on other hand school equals illnesses. My son during first month of school was sick twice. The best cough/cold syrup what I ever had is Similasan Kids cold & mucus relief 100% natural and is safe even for two years old.
